Can an ordinary Catholic become Pope?

Now, divine mysteries are not a regular occurrence in the modern world. But what if the same person was to appear as Pope in the dreams that each of the cardinals had on the night of the former Pope’s funeral.

And what if the person who appeared in their dreams was such an unusual candidate that each cardinal found the prospect of this person as Pope intriguing. Intriguing enough to discuss their dreams with some of their fellow cardinals.

And… What if one of the cardinals could put a name to the person who appeared as Pope in his dream and, via an internet search, found an image of the man which provided confirmation that the person in each of their dreams was the same man.

Surely these men of faith would see this revelation as a minor miracle and would, at least, want to meet with the person in question before the conclave.

This is how a humble ordinary Catholic, Peter MacDonald, found himself summoned to Rome just days out from a Papal Conclave.
