Church Without Walls Poem

Here’s another post for my Church Without Walls friends and the Rev Ed Trevors fan club.

I wrote this poem in 2012 as a message of thanks to the communities who supported me and my children during my wife’s battle with terminal cancer. I titled it ‘My Church Has No Windows’. This was 10-years before I discovered a community of like minded souls Reverend Ed’s Church Without Walls YouTube live streams. I included the poem in my chapter of the ‘Message to Your Younger Self’ Anthology. Here it is

My church has no windows

but it is always full of light.

My church has no doors,

but people come and go as they please.

My church as no roof,

but the wind and rain never get in.

My church is built from the love and faith

of a community that cares.

My church has no windows

but God’s love shines through every day.
